 Charles Jeffers grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Texas Christian University with a B. B. A. Degree in Finance. He also holds a Ranch Management Degree from T. C. U. Charles served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a construction platoon leader in Thailand and ended his tour as a Captain.
Charles entered the real estate business in 1972. In 1976, Charles purchased a ceramic clay manufacturing company that he expanded to include distribution of raw materials and retail sales. He sold the company in 1985 and re-entered the real estate business as a Broker. In 1987, Charles was invited to join D. B. Harrell Co. to handle and specialize in downtown properties of all categories.
Since joining the D. B. Harrell Co., Charles has additionally specialized in suburban retail, land, office, industrial and medical properties.
Charles has been active in the Downtown Rotary Club for over 30 years and is on the Board of the Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital Foundation. He is a member of the Downtown Alliance, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Urban Land Institute and the Real Estate Council.
Charles has been honored to be a Nominee for the prestigious “San Antonio Ethics in Business Award” through the Ecumenical Center for Religion and Health and the University of Texas at San Antonio Business School.
Charles and his wife Marion have two grown children. He enjoys fishing, bird hunting and travel.
